OLIVE plant from air layered can bear fruits within 5-7 years, depending on the varieties. Furthermore, you need to have at least 2 different species in order for them to bear fruits faster.
So far i have at 9 varieties in my garden such as Kalamata, Frantoio, Picholine, Ezhi, Koroneiki Greek, Bosana, Leccino, Bosana & Pendolino Italy.
All are imported directly from Italy & Spain.
this is another OLIVE plant that i bought online few years back. One plant like this cost me RM450!
Unfortunately, I was not duly informed that this is from Thailand and CANNOT PRODUCE FRUIT. Nowadays you can get easily online at RM35-RM45 for a such small plant at 5-10 inches.
If you have small budget and really wanted to plant Olive badly, you may choose this type of plant and use the leave for the health benefit. However, some sell from cutting, not air layered so it's very risky and hard to survive.
